Following are some general guidelines for the community to keep in mind during a disaster:

  In an emergency, Presbyterian Hospital will guard the safety and health of its patients, while striving to provide useful information to the public.
• Current laws protecting patient privacy (HIPAA) allow us to give conditions on groups of patients without identifying them by name to ease public concerns.
