Insurance and Billing for Breast Pumps

You will need to register as an outpatient by calling 704-384-5142 before your lactation consultation or pump rental. This enables our billing department to file any necessary fees with your insurance carrier.

Consultations and medically-indicated breastpump rentals will be filed automatically with your insurance carrier. A co-pay will be collected for outpatient appointments and a $60 deposit will be collected for pump rentals. Some insurance carriers may require you to contact them for a pre-authorization. The Nursing Mother's Place cannot guarantee insurance coverage.

Please note that hospital-grade pump rentals are filed to your insurance, but Medela's Pump-in-Style series is a retail pump and is not considered for insurance filing. We do, however, include a short instruction session with each pump purchase.
