Project Safe
Project Safe is a comprehensive Presbyterian Healthcare program that addresses the physical, emotional and social needs of patients who are at risk for or are experiencing domestic violence. Project Safe offers a domestic violence information line to arm victims with domestic violence education, offer a connection for community resources and referrals and provide information on safety planning. - United Family Services is a program offered through United Way. United Family Services offers assistance to women who are victims of domestic violence and their children. Their Domestic Violence Resource Guide for Mecklenburg County may be the area's most comprehensive guide to legal assistance and services available, and they also offer a Shelter for Battered Women 24-Hour Crisis Line. - Mecklenburg County Women's Commission offers individual counseling to victims of domestic violence, as well as educational programs and outreach for those who are supporting a women who is experiencing violence at home. Learn more
- Battered Immigrant Project offers legal aid and resources for immigrants living in North Carolina. Learn more
- North Carolina Coalition Against Domestic Violence puts on a variety of public awareness initiatives and provides community education resources. Learn more
- Family Violence Prevention Fund offers resource for domestic violence victims and family members including children. They also offer information specific to teens and immigrant women. Educational materials are available in Spanish. Learn more
- National Domestic Violence Hotline offers assistance to victims anywhere in the country, 1-800-799-SAFE(7233).
- National Coalition Against Domestic Violence provides resources for domestic violence victims and also offers programs for financial counseling and more. Learn more
