Presbyterian Healthcare is dedicated to the health and safety of individuals in our community. Domestic violence not only impacts individuals physically, socially and mentally, but also effects family members and friends that care about them. If you feel that you or someone you care about is impacted by domestic violence, we have the resources available to help.
Project Safe
Project Safe is a comprehensive program established by Presbyterian Healthcare to address the physical, emotional and social needs of patients who are at risk for or are experiencing domestic violence. A team of highly trained medical professionals and counselors are available to provide the care and connection to community resources needed to support you and end the cycle of violence.
As part of Project Safe, Presbyterian offers a confidential domestic violence information line to arm victims with domestic violence education, offer community resources and referrals and provide information on safety planning. Call 704-614-7212 Monday through Friday, between 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. or between 2 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Sunday to speak with a specially trained counselor. If you call the line after hours, please leave a message and you will receive a call back.
In case of an emergency, please call 911 or visit an emergency department near you. Board-certified emergency physicians and specially trained forensic nurse examiners are available 24/7 at our hospital locations in Charlotte, Matthews and Huntersville, to provide comprehensive emergency care including thorough medical evaluation and physical assessment.
Sexual Assault Services
Presbyterian Healthcare also offers forensic nursing services for men, women and children who are victims of sexual assault. All services are confidential. Learn more
