Our comprehensive approach allows us to work together to provide the optimal outcomes for each patient; medical history, familial support and surgery type are just some of the aspects we take into account when doing so. From the information seminar through years out from surgery, we will be part of your success story by providing the support that you need during a life changing experience such as this.
The members of our team are:
Bariatric Liaison
Lin Hanley, LCSW - Lin has over 25 years of experience as a licensed clinical social worker. Her goal is to empower others to learn who they are - to know their thoughts, beliefs, instincts, feelings and especially their ability to change and improve their quality of life. For years, she has worked with individuals struggling with obesity and related issues. She came on board as the Bariatric Liaison in 2006 and strives to encourage clients to engage in honest reflection on self-awareness, acceptance, relationships, intimacy and more.
Bariatric Coordinator
Cleo Caldwell, RN - Cleo has been a nurse for more than 20 years and has covered a broad spectrum, from mental health to community care to, most recently, the operating room. She became the bariatric coordinator in 2006; this position, along with Presbyterian's patient-centered focus, encompasses all facets of the patient experience.
Data Specialist
Meredith Jefferies - With over 15 years of healthcare experience, Meredith brings many different qualities to the table, from providing hands-on care as a nursing assistant, to working as a Behavioral Health secretary, to even giving financial counseling and working with patient education. She is responsible for keeping up with all bariatric surgery data for Presbyterian Hospital, as well as many other office duties.
