Find a Primary Care Doctor

Presbyterian's primary care physicians are available to take care of your non-emergency medical needs that may arise.  Many doctor's offices offer same day sick appointments and extended hours for your convenience.

If you do not have a primary care doctor, call 704-384-CARE or view a list of our primary care physician practices.

Find an Urgent Care Location

If your primary care physician is unable to see you, visit an urgent care center for your non-life-threatening medical needs.  A cost-efficient and time-saving alternative to the emergency department, urgent care can treat most illnesses and injuries that strike unexpectedly.  Presbyterian has eight urgent care locations that are open for extended hours seven days a week. No appointments necessary.  Find an urgent care location.

Symptoms and conditions that can be treated in an urgent care center include:

- Cough- Rashes and bug bites
- Sprains and simple bone fractures- Sinus infections
- Sore throat- Ear and eye infections
- Cold and fever- Scratches and minor cuts
- Headache- And much more
- Flu-like symptoms.

Find an Emergency Department

Presbyterian's 24/7 emergency departments in Charlotte, Matthews and Huntersville ensure that they are always close by when a serious emergency occurs.  As certified stroke centers and accredited chest pain centers, Presbyterian can offer life-saving care when you need it most.

In addition, Presbyterian Children's Emergency Department is located on the campus of Presbyterian Hospital and offers specialized emergency care for children under 18.

Please visit the nearest Presbyterian emergency department or call 911 if you or a loved one experiences any of the following symptoms:

- Chest pain- Serious injury or trauma
- Stroke- Difficulty breathing
