Venous Doppler Ultrasound
A venous doppler ultrasound will identify and find blood clots in the deep veins of the legs. This test is done in the x-ray depatment of Pesbyterian Healthcare.

For Inpatients
- If your room is in Presbyterian Orthopaedic Hospital, you will be taken over and returned using the walkway by stretcher to the x-ray department.
- If it is time for your pain medication, be sure to ask for it before leaving for the test.
Special Notes

If you are wearing any hose or socks on your legs, the technolgist will remove them before the test. Be sure the technologist returns them to you once the test is finished.

The test takes about 20 minutes.
