CT scans take pictures of parts of the body in sequential slices, as if slicing a loaf of bread, allowing physicians to view clear, detailed pictures of internal structures. A CT scan is a cross-sectional X-ray of a particular body part.

Presbyterian is continuously investing in technological advancements to better serve its patients. Advanced 64-slice CT technology is now available at Presbyterian Hospital, Presbyterian Hospital Matthews and Presbyterian Hospital Huntersville.
