Mecklenburg Radiology Associates and Presbyterian Healthcare have active, ongoing processes in place to ensure the lowest appropriate radiation dosing is administered to our patients for all studies conducted at all sites. As early adopters of the Alliance for Radiation Safety in Pediatric Imaging's Image GentlyTM campaign, we ensure safe practices for patients of all ages by working closely with vendor application specialists and our radiation safety officer to review and revise all imaging protocols and equipment specifications to achieve the lowest possible dose. We have a team of physicians dedicated specifically to oversight of radiation safety. Our technologists are trained in effective radiation safety practices and work collaboratively to tailor studies to the individual patient. We will continue to place the highest priority on delivering remarkable care with the minimum amount of radiation exposure.
