Sports Partnerships

Presbyterian Sports Medicine is proud to serve as the official healthcare provider for prestigious events such as the Charlotte UltraSwim®, Modern Pentathlon United States World Cup & Olympic Qualifier and USA Canoe/Kayak National Team Trials. Between events, our experts also care for members of SwimMAC Team Elite and USA Canoe/Kayak, a number of whom compete for the United States on an international stage.  In addition, Presbyterian provides medical coverage for members of the NBA’s Charlotte Bobcats and American Hockey League’s Charlotte Checkers.

Presbyterian Sports Medicine is also committed to the community’s student-athletes. Since 2009, Presbyterian has offered comprehensive sports screenings free of charge to high school students in Union County Public Schools. In 2010, Presbyterian Sports Medicine became the official healthcare provider for the school system, placing full-time athletic trainers in the schools as well as a medical director, coaching symposiums, medical supplies and various other services.  In addition, Presbyterian provides extensive sports medicine coverage to a number of schools in the Lake Norman area.

Presbyterian's Competitive Edge Sports Screening Day serves student-athletes of Union County Public Schools and various Lake Norman area schools each spring. This free service includes the annual sports screening required by the North Carolina High School Athletic Association, an EKG (heart screening) and other important health screenings.  Learn More
