Seminars are designed to encourage those with a heavy heart and to help participants grow through positive, hands-on experiences. All seminars focus on providing practical applications for everyday life.
Annual Celebration of Remembrance
A memorial service event that provides an opportunity for participants to celebrate the life and special memories of their loved ones.
Handling the Holidays
All holidays and celebrations can be difficult after loss. This special program helps participants refocus their holiday energy with class activities including ways to heal the body, heart and soul and creating holiday memorials.
Support Groups
Our bereavement support groups are offered at various times and locations throughout the community. These support groups are available free of charge to anyone dealing with loss - regardless if your loved one was cared for by our program. Below are the locations and times of our current support groups:
Levine Senior Center
1050 DeVore Drive, Matthews
2nd and 4th Monday of every month; 5:00 - 6:30 p.m.
2nd and 4th Friday of every month; 10:00 - 11:30 a.m.
Buddy Kemp Caring House
242 Colonial Avenue, Charlotte
1st and 3rd Friday of every month; 10:00 - 11:30 a.m.
Presbyterian Hospital Huntersville (Chapel)
10030 Gilead Road, Huntersville
1st and 3rd Monday of every month, beginning March 15; 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.
Customized Programming
In addition to providing general seminars open to the public, Presbyterian Hospice & Palliative Care conducts seminars and programs for churches, ministry groups, physician offices and corporations. To arrange a special seminar, please call 704-384-6478.
