Hospice and Palliative Care Services

Spiritual Care

At Presbyterian Hospice & Palliative Care, we provide remarkable physical, emotional and spiritual care to patients at end of life. The physical level of care - providing medical care, pain and symptom management for patients - is obvious to most people. But not so obvious are the emotional and spiritual support components that make hospice care unique for not only our patients but also for our patients' families.

Jack Matney Memorial Labyrinth

The Jack Matney Memorial Labyrinth offers a place of peace and solace for patients and families of Presbyterian Hospital. Jack Matney was a patient of Presbyterian Hospice & Palliative Care’s inpatient, Harris Hospice unit within Presbyterian Hospital. Through the difficult journey with her husband, Linda Matney needed a spiritual outlet - beyond the chapel, beyond the walls of the hospital, and close enough to be at the side of her loved one in a moment’s notice. The same deep faith that brought Jack and Linda Matney together inspired Linda to create the labyrinth as an affirmation of the life of her husband, Jack.
