Pediatric Urology

Pediatric urologic problems are some of the most commonly occurring of childhood medical and surgical conditions, but all require the care of specially trained and experienced physicians.

A pediatric urologist specialize in the care of children and adolescents with urological problems, offering extensive clinical experience caring for simple and complex urologic problems in children including:

  • Voiding disorders
  • Urinary tract infections that require surgery
  • Surgical reconstruction of the urinary tract
  • Genital abnormalities
  • Hypospadias
  • Surgery for groin conditions in childhood and adolescence (undescended testes, hydrocele/hernia, varicocele)

We diagnose and treat conditions that involve the reproductive and urinary systems of newborns through adolescents. Many urological problems in children are very different from those found in adults.
