Taking care of your heart and arteries is one of the most important things you can do to ensure that you live a long and healthy life. Presbyterian offers many programs to help you control or prevent the development of heart and vascular disease.

Our programs can identify and assess your risk for heart and vascular disease, manage existing risk factors and help you recover from a heart attack or surgery through cardiac rehabilitation. If you suffer from heart or vascular disease or have several risk factors, we can help you make important lifestyle changes that can lead to a longer, more enjoyable life. Regular screenings and visits with your physician are also important steps in the prevention of heart and vascular disease.

Cardiovascular Risk Assessment

An important first step in preventing heart disease and stroke is determining your level of risk. We offer one-on-one heart risk assessments, which include cholesterol level and blood pressure checks, as well as personal consultations on how to reduce your risk of developing heart disease. Assessments cost $30.

Cardiac Rehabilitation

Our cardiac rehabilitation program offers exercise therapy, nutrition counseling and cardiac education to help patients and their families recover from a heart attack, heart surgery or other cardiac conditions. This program builds support systems to maximize each participant's success in making lifestyle changes to achieve a healthy heart. Learn More

Cardiovascular Risk Management Program

Our team can evaluate your cardiac risk factors and develop an action plan emphasizing optimal management of all risk factors, including your lipid and hypertension management and diabetes control. Your risk management plan may also include nutrition counseling, education and exercise therapy.
