NEW PROGRAM! Support for the Journey
Join us to network, gain insight, information and support from other survivors. This group is particularly helpful for those who are newly diagnosed. Monthly, first Thursday, 1 p.m., Buddy Kemp Cancer Support Center.
Express Yourself: Chilling Out with Outrageous Doodling
Offered every Saturday in February, learn tips and tricks from illustrator and graphic artist Ellen Ward and discover the artist in you! Friends are welcome. Every Saturday in February, 10 - 11:30 a.m. Call 704-384-5223 to register.
Women, Sexuality and Cancer
Meet experts who are trained to treat the physiological and psychological challenges when dealing with a cancer diagnosis. A light dinner will be served. Mon., Feb. 20, 6 p.m. Call 704-384-5223 to register. This class is for women only!
NEW PROGRAM! Qi Gong
Considered to be part of traditional Chinese medicine, this series includes breathing exercises and body movement to achieve felings of calmness and peacefulness and encourage a sense of wellbeing. Monthly, second Thursday, 7 - 8:30 p.m. Call 704-384-5223 to register.
NEW PROGRAM! Drumming Circle: Drumming to a BEAT
Drum circles follow an ancient tradition of bringing people together. Drumming can be a wonderful outlet for handling stress for patients, family and friends. All ages and experience levels welcome! Monthly, first Thursday, 7 p.m. Call 704-384-5223 to register.
Children's Lives Include Moments of Bravery (CLIMB)
A special program for families who have a parent or caregiver with a cancer diagnosis. Each session is broken out into two groups; one for children ages 6-12, and one for parents and/or grandparents. NEW! AWE - Amazing Women, Empowered!
A monthly support group designed for breast cancer survivors ages 25 - 40. Join us to meet new friends and get support in a relaxed environment. Monthly, fourth Monday, 7 p.m.
NEW! The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Family Support Group
Families of blood cancer patients are invited to this new support group. Monthly, first Tuesday, 10 a.m.

Wellness
Massage for cancer survivors
Cancer patients/survivors are invited to enjoy the benefits of massage from licensed massage therapists with special training in oncology. Both table and chair massages are available. Learn More
Caregiver massage
Caregivers need to relax as well! Thanks to a collaboration with Southeastern School of Massage, free, 10-minute chair massages are now offered for all cancer caregivers. No registration required. Cancer Center lobby, Fridays, 1:30 - 4:30 p.m.
Nutrition for breast cancer survivors
Offered as part of the Bosom Buddies support group, this special session gives survivors the opportunity to learn techniques that can maintain or improve their health. Join us for our next session on Feb. 1 at 11:30 a.m. at Buddy Kemp Cancer Support Center. Call 704-384-5223 to register.
Strides to Strength
A 24-session cancer wellness/fatigue management program to improve physical and emotional recovery by focusing on exercise, nutrition and support. This program helps those who are undergoing treatment for cancer or recovering from its effects. Morning, afternoon and evening classes are available. Learn More
Yoga for cancer survivors
Yoga is a well-known wellness activity that, when lead by specially trained staff, can be beneficial for cancer patients/survivors as well. Currently Intro to Yoga classes are offered twice a month and are free. Upon completion of an Intro to Yoga class, drop-in yoga is available several times each week. Learn More
Support Groups
Support services are available through Presbyterian Buddy Kemp Caring House and include individual and family counseling, special programs for kids and teens and small group meetings.
