The support groups offered by the Presbyterian Buddy Kemp Caring House offers are free to anyone in the community regardless of insurance status, physician or hospital affiliation. All groups are open to family and friends except for the breast cancer support groups, which are designed for patients only. Our staff works in close collaboration with the volunteer office, chaplains office, community care services, community therapists, the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society and the American Cancer Society to provide the most comprehensive support program in the region.

Metastatic Breast Cancer Support Group for Women
Women's support group. Meets the first and third Tuesday of the month from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Bring your own lunch and join us from 12:30-1:30 p.m.
Sisters Network
Sisters Network, Inc. is committed to increasing local and national attention to the devastating impact that breast cancer has in the African-American community. This group meets on the third Thursday of every month at 6:30 p.m. For more information on the Sisters Network Inc., visit www.sistersnetworkinc.org.
"Bosom Buddies" Breast Cancer Support Group
This groups meets every Wednesday from 10-11:30 a.m. Guest speakers come on the first Wednesday and pot luck lunch is offered on the second Wednesday.
"Bosom Buddies-South" Breast Cancer Support Group
Meets the first and third Tuesday of every month from 6:30-8 p.m. at Presbyterian Hospital Matthews.
Living with Gynecological Cancer
A support group for women currently diagnosed with gynecological cancer. Fourth Monday of every month from 10-11:30 a.m.
Look Good, Feel Better
Look Good, Feel Better is a free, national public service program to help women who are undergoing cancer treatment. This program teaches women coping skills for dealing with appearance-related side effects of treatment, which may include hair loss and changes in complexion and fingernails. Look Good, Feel Better is a product-neutral (no specific product, brand or manufacturer is recommended or endorsed) and makes no medical claims. Sessions and materials are provided at no charge. This program is co-sponsored by the Presbyterian Cancer Center, American Cancer Society, CTFA Foundation and the National Cosmetology Association. Look Good, Feel Better meets on the first Monday of each month from 10a.m. -12 p.m.
FORCE
Facing Our Risk of Cancer Empowered. Open to women of all ages affected by hereditary breast or ovarian cancer or a BRCA mutation. Meets the third Saturday of the month at 11:30 a.m.
Prostate Cancer Support Group
The Prostate Cancer Support Group meets the second Monday of every month from 7-8:30 p.m.
Adapting and Growing
This group is designed for adults and their family members who are dealing with cancer. Adapting and Growing meets every Tuesday from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
Advanced Techniques Group
The Advanced Techniques group is open to all cancer survivors. It teaches meditation/self-help techniques and how to incorporate them into daily life; educates on stress and its effects on the immune system; participants will learn relaxation, imagery and more. This group meets on Mondays from 7-9 p.m. Please call for starting dates.
Caregiver Connections
An information and resource sharing support group for family of caregivers and cancer survivors. This groups meets the second and fourth Thursday of every month from 2-3:30 p.m.
Bereavement Support Group
This group is offered to family adn friends who have lost a loved one. The group meets every Thursday from 6-8 p.m.
Individual and Family Counseling
In addition to support groups, we offer individual and family counseling to help cancer survivors and family members (including children and teens) adjust to the cancer diagnosis and the challenges this diagnosis presents. To schedule an appointment, please call 704-384-5223 or 1-800-998-4673.

CLIMB
Children’s Lives Include Moments of Bravery - Helping kids and families cope with cancer. For children ages 6 - 11 whose parent or grandparent is undergoing cancer treatment.
