Quality Care at Convenient Locations
All of our Presbyterian Breast Center locations offer digital mammography, the latest advancement in the early detection of breast cancer. Our mammograms are performed exclusively by highly trained female technologists and read by board-certified radiologists with special training in breast health.
Presbyterian Breast Center has received multiple quality awards and designations including being deemed a Breast Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology, and an accredited breast center by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers, a program administered by the American College of Surgeons.
Before Your Appointment
Most screening mammogram appointments take less than 30 minutes, less than a typical doctor’s visit, making our services convenient and accessible for working women and busy moms who can call to schedule a potentially life-saving screening over a lunch break or before or after work at one of our centers that offers extended or even weekend hours.
Here are a few guidelines to help you prepare for your exam:
- Inform the scheduling specialist if you have breast implants
- Have prior films sent to the breast center before your exam
- Please arrive 15 to 20 minutes before your appointment
- Wear two-piece clothing
- Bring your insurance information
- Please do not wear powder or deodorant
- Please do not bring small children unless you are also bringing someone to watch them.
