People aren’t the only ones in need because of the economy. Local animal shelters have been hard hit as more people have been forced to give up pets they cannot afford to keep. In an effort to help, all Presbyterian hospitals have just kicked off a June drive for pet food and cleaning supplies.
Donations made at Presbyterian Hospital, Presbyterian Hospital Matthews and Presbyterian Orthopaedic Hospital will benefit the Humane Society of Charlotte. A full list of needed items is available at http://www.humanesocietyofcharlotte.org/donate/wishlist.php.
Items collected at Presbyterian Hospital Huntersville will benefit the Cornelius Animal Shelter. Items needed include cat litter, cat and kitten food and small Styrofoam bowls along with other items on their wish list http://www.corneliusanimalshelter.com/wishlistpage.
Donation bins will be located next to each hospital cafeteria, except for at Presbyterian Hospital Huntersville where the bin will be near the employee entrance.
