CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Presbyterian Novant Medical Group welcomed Tom Trahey, M.D., FACC, and Mid Carolina Cardiology Cabarrus (MCC Cabarrus) to the team on February 1, 2010. The practice will initially be located in the Northgate Family Medicine office at 1028 Lee-Ann Drive in Concord; it will move into its permanent location in several months. Dr. Trahey has cared for patients in the Cabarrus County area for more than 20 years. He is board-certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease. A Davidson College graduate, Dr. Trahey earned a medical degree at Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, N.C. He completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, N.C. Dr. Trahey helped found the cardiology group at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast, formerly NorthEast Medical Center, and is a former chief of staff at that hospital. As a physician with MCC Cabarrus, he will focus on outpatient care.
