MATTHEWS, N.C. — Presbyterian Hospital Matthews is celebrating the holidays by hosting an indoor tree-lighting ceremony and holiday celebration in their lobby for the community, visitors, staff and physicians from 6 – 8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 30, 2011. The Presbyterian Hospital Matthews lobby will be filled with beautifully decorated and uniquely designed holiday trees displayed by community and civic groups, nonprofit organizations, churches, businesses and individuals. In addition, various groups have donated their fully decorated trees for the Lighting of the Trees event silent auction in which proceeds will benefit the community through projects of the Presbyterian Hospital Foundation. Also, a selection of trees will go to deserving families of the Matthews Help Center.
Event festivities will include live musical performances, holiday tree silent auction, a visit from Santa, refreshments and more! The trees will be displayed in the hospital lobby for the Festival of Trees from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., Mon., Nov. 28 through Sun., Dec. 25.
The Presbyterian Hospital Matthews Lighting of the Trees will take place at Presbyterian Hospital Matthews, 1500 Matthews Township Parkway, Matthews, N.C. 28105. This event is free and open to the public.
