Bands and sponsors come together in this free event to raise money for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society®
MATTHEWS, N.C. – Stumptown Skirmish, a free event for all ages, will bring together five bands in addition to other family friendly activities on Sat., Oct. 1 from 2 to 6 p.m. in Stumptown Park. The goal of the event is to raise money for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society®.
The five bands featured are Fusebox Poet, Horsefly, Mayhem Loves Company, Under Mountains, and Something Clever. Rock University, a music instruction and band program located in Charlotte, N.C., is a proud sponsor of the Stumptown Skirmish.
Additionally, the Town of Matthews will be providing a children’s bounce house along with face painting. Concessions will be provided by Hungry Howie’s Pizza and Texas Roadhouse. Electronics, donated by BestBuy, will be auctioned off with all proceeds going to the LLS.
Folks interested in participating in this year’s 2011 Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Light the Night Walk can register for the event by visiting www.presbyterian.org/lightthenight. Proceeds for this event also benefit the LLS.
