Novant Medical Group Physicians and Practice Recognized in Enquirer-Journal's Reader's Choice Awards

Monroe, N.C. – This year, three Novant Medical Group physicians (NMG) and one NMG clinic were recognized in the Enquirer-Journal’s Reader’s Choice Awards.

Garnet D. Maharajh, M.D., of Center for Child & Adolescent Medicine received a Favorite Pediatric Doctor award. Alvin P. Kitchin Jr., M.D., of Monroe Family Medical Center, and Roy Blank, M.D., of Southern Piedmont Primary Care received Favorite Family Doctor awards. And, Southern Piedmont Primary Care received a Favorite Medical Clinic award.

Dr. Maharajh attended medical school at Bowman Gray School of Medicine, Wake Forest University and has practiced in Union County for 20 years. Dr. Kitchin attended medical school at Wake Forest University School of Medicine and has practiced in Union County for 45 years. Dr. Blank attended medical school at the University of Maryland and has practiced in Union County for 14 years. And, Southern Piedmont Primary Care has been serving patients in Union County for 14 years.

The Reader’s Choice section appeared in the Sept. 18 edition of the Enquirer-Journal newspaper, in which the top three winners in each category were recognized.
