MATTHEWS, N.C. - Beginning Monday, February 28, 2011, Albemarle Road Family Practice will see patients in a new office, located at 4105 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Matthews, NC 28105. In addition, to better reflect their new location, the practice will change their name from Albemarle Road Family Practice to Pine Lake Family Physicians.
Pine Lake Family Physicians serves patients of all ages, from newborns and children to adults and seniors. Health services offered at the practice include:
- Pediatric, adult and geriatric care
- Preventive healthcare
- Physical exams
- Care for acute and ongoing illnesses
- Routine gynecological care
- Immunizations
- School, sports and employment physicals
- Minor surgeries, biopsy of skin lesions

- Same-day sick appointments
The physicians at Pine Lake Family Physicians are Lloyd L. Bridges, M.D. and Kisha Young, M.D. Both physicians are board-certified in family medicine. Dr. Bridges received his medical degree from the University of Miami, located in Miami, F.L., and completed his residency at Wayne State University in Royal Oak, M.I. Dr. Young received her medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine, located in Gainesville, F.L., and completed her residency at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, N.C. In addition, the Pine Lake Family Physicians provider team includes certified nurse practitioner, Alison Efird, FNP-C, MSN, BS, who received her undergraduate degree at University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, N.C., and completed her graduate education at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Nursing, located in Richmond, V.A. and Duke University School of Nursing in Durham, N.C.
Pine Lake Family Physicians is accepting new patients and looks forward to caring for families in Matthews, Mint Hill, Union County and South Charlotte communities for years to come.
