Seminar Will Help Families Create an Eco-friendly Home Environment
Charlotte, N.C. -- Presbyterian Hemby Children’s Hospital is hosting Stay Healthy, Go Green!, a new educational class geared towards creating an eco-friendly home. Taking place on Saturday, March 20, from 1- 2:30 p.m. at Presbyterian Hospital (200 Hawthorne Lane, Charlotte, NC 28204), individuals will learn ways to improve their health by reducing the use of chemicals in their everyday life.
Topics covered in the Stay Healthy, Go Green! class include:
- Creating an eco-friendly environment at home
- Improving your family’s health by reducing chemical use in your home and food
- Discussing easy and cost-effective ways to have an eco-friendly home
- Question and answer session
“People don’t realize that many products we use on a day-to-day basis contain chemicals that cause headaches, respiratory problems and complicate existing health issues,” said Mary Rachui, manager of women’s health education. “A few simple changes can make a significant impact on your family’s health.”
