Northlake Neurology Welcomes New Physician

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Presbyterian Novant Medical Group and Northlake Neurology welcome Joseph Chipman, M.D. He joins Dr. Ki Jung, founding physician of Northlake Neurology and medical director of community and outpatient neurosciences for Novant Health. Northlake Neurology has two new locations. The Mooresville office is located at 157 Professional Park Rd., Suite B, and a Huntersville location is at 10030 Gilead Rd., Suite 345.

Dr. Chipman, who is board-certified in neurology, comes to Northlake Neurology following a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. Dr. Chipman attended medical school at Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica, West Indies followed by an internship and residency at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, P.A.

Dr. Chipman brings new key service offerings to the practice including new diagnostic and therapeutic services such as carotid ultrasound and peripheral nerve and muscle ultrasound to improve surgical outcomes for neurological issues such as carpal tunnel. Botox injections to reduce muscle spasticity from movement disorders and stroke-related spasticity and ultrasound-guided injections for pain management for conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome are other expanded services Northlake Neurology will now provide to  the community.

Dr. Chipman and Dr. Jung also offers patient consultations and in-office testing for a variety of neurological disorders and symptoms including chronic headaches and migraines, memory disorders, Alzheimer’s disease, carpal tunnel syndrome, seizures, numbness and tingling, Parkinson’s disease and much more.
