CHARLOTTE – Presbyterian Neurology Center is pleased to announce that it is now expanding its services at both Charlotte and Matthews locations. Presbyterian Neurology Center has recently recruited two physicians with new areas of specialty, neurophysiology and headache, to better aid in diagnosing and treating patients.

Chad Whyte, MD, a board-certified headache subspecialist brings specialized fellowship training from his time with the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Whyte, who is the only headache fellowship-trained neurologist in Charlotte will treat patients with chronic headaches and migraines. Dr. Whyte received his medical training at the Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica, West Indies, followed by an internal medicine internship at Norwalk Hospital in Connecticut and a neurology residency at New Jersey Neuroscience Institute in Edison, NJ.

Presbyterian Neurology Center also welcomes Thomas Gann, Jr., MD, a neurologist who specializes in neurophysiology. His fellowship training from the University of Alabama Hospital in Birmingham focused on specific diagnostic tests such as electromyographies, electroencephalography and nerve conduction studies. With his area of expertise in these state of the art diagnostic tests, Dr. Gann will be able to help patients target specific areas of pain and muscular and nerve damage.

Two physician assistants, Richard Boulware, PA-C, and Alisa Barnes, PA-C, were also hired this year to assist and support the physicians at Presbyterian Neurology Center. To schedule an appointment with Dr. Gann or Dr. Whyte at a Presbyterian Neurology Center location near you, call 704-384-9437.
