CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Perry Orthopedics & Sports Medicine has joined Presbyterian Novant Medical Group (PNMG). The practice is located at 2826 Randolph Rd. in Charlotte and can be reached at 704-358-0308. They are currently accepting new patients.
Perry Orthopedics & Sports Medicine has a highly dedicated and experienced team of physicians and support staff, including two physician assistants. They provide advanced, personalized care for everyone from amateur and professional athletes to stay-at-home mothers and business executives. The practice’s specialties include knee, shoulder, elbow, ankle, foot and sports-related injuries.
Glenn B. Perry, M.D., has practiced orthopedic surgery in the Charlotte area for more than 20 years. He specializes primarily in knee, shoulder and elbow surgery, with an emphasis on sports-related injuries and arthroscopic and reconstructive knee surgery. Dr. Perry is well-known for his sports medicine expertise and has treated patients from all over the world. He is currently the head team physician for the NBA’s Charlotte Bobcats and has also served as team physician for the former Charlotte Hornets, Charlotte Checkers, Charlotte Knights, Davidson College and the WNBA’s Charlotte Sting. He also has experience at the international level, including serving as team physician for the United States men’s senior national basketball team in the 2000 Summer Olympics. Dr. Perry earned a medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pa. and completed a residency at Temple University Hospital. He is board-certified in orthopedic surgery.
Stephen Brockmeier, M.D., joined the practice in 2007 after completing a prestigious fellowship in sports medicine and shoulder reconstruction at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, N.Y. He specializes in arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the shoulder, knee, elbow and hip. Dr. Brockmeier has served as the associate team physician for the Charlotte Bobcats since 2007 and is the team physician for the Cannon School in Concord, N.C. During his fellowship, he served as an associate team physician for the NBA’s New Jersey Nets. He is actively involved in research with a focus on clinical outcomes of arthroscopic shoulder procedures and molecular alterations in patients with rotator cuff disease. Dr. Brockmeier earned a medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. and completed a residency at Georgetown University Hospital.
