After earning a medical degree and completing a residency in internal medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn., Dr. Shedd completed fellowship training in cardiovascular diseases and electrophysiology at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Fla. Dr. Shedd is a board-certified cardiologist specializing in electrophysiology, the study of the heart's electrical system. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of numerous other professional organizations, including the Heart Rhythm Society.
