Presbyterian Women’s Center is partnering with Baby Bundles, a new nonprofit organization created to provide infant clothing and essentials to moms in financial need before they leave the hospital. Started by three local moms and close friends who have each experienced the heartache of infant loss and the joy of having healthy babies, they wanted to do something to give back in memory and honor of their children.
“While we can’t prevent others from going through the tragedies that we’ve experienced, we wanted to do something to provide underprivileged moms with a better start and alleviate some new motherhood stresses,” said Emily Harry, one of the founders of Baby Bundles. “We think of it as a gift from our children to theirs.”
Baby Bundles will work with Presbyterian Women’s Center to identify moms in need, and each woman will be presented with a “bundle,” a large reusable bag stocked full with newborn clothes, warm blankets, a book, interactive newborn toy and essentials for six months.
“We’re thrilled to partner with such a worthy organization that will help so many new families start off on the right foot,” said Pat Campbell, vice president of women’s and children’s services for Presbyterian Healthcare. “We are honored that they chose Presbyterian Hospital as a partner and the place to honor the memories of their babies.”
