Tour Our Facility

Presbyterian Women's Center, located within Presbyterian Hospital, is a special place dedicated solely to the medical needs of women and newborns.

Presbyterian Women's Center is your one-stop-shop for maternity care. Our specialty boutique, A Woman's View, carries unique clothing and gifts for women and babies. The Nursing Mother's Place, located in the Women's Center, provides support and guidance for new moms who choose to breastfeed.

Birthing Care Suites

Each of our 16 spacious birthing care suites are decorated in soothing colors. Each suite features a private bathroom with an air-jet Jacuzzi, sleep chair for birth partner, rocking chair, wireless high-speed Internet access, TV with DVD/VCR and a stereo with a CD/MP3 player. Each birthing suite features a sink designed specially for baby's first bath, allowing mom and dad to share this special experience.

To announce the birth of your baby, we invite you to turn a special key that will play Brahms Lullaby throughout Presbyterian Hospital. Staff, patients and family members can all enjoy hearing this celebration of life.

Family Care Suites

Following delivery, you will be transferred to a spacious, private family care suite for the remainder of your stay. Presbyterian Women's Center has 35 spacious family care suites.

Each includes a sleep bed and work desk for birth partner, private bath with hair dryer, ceiling fan, glider rocker and large windows for an abundance of natural light. Your birth partner can e-mail baby's first photos using our wireless high-speed Internet access.

If you are breastfeeding, one of our certified lactation consultants from The Nursing Mother's Place will meet with you in your family care suite. If needs continue beyond discharge, consultation is available on an outpatient basis.

Special Care Suites

Should you require specialized care during pregnancy, our 14-bed high-risk special care unit is supported by perinatologists (physicians specializing in high risk pregnancies). Here, mothers with high-risk pregnancies can receive diagnostic sonography, fetal heart rate monitoring and interventional procedures. Special care suites include all of the amenities of a family care suite including a refrigerator.

Newborn Care

After delivery, you are encouraged to keep your baby with you as much as you like. However, if needed, your baby will receive plenty of attention and care in our newborn nursery, which is located near the birthing suites and family waiting area.

Hemby Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

If baby should need special care, the state-of-the-art Level IV Presbyterian Hemby Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is staffed 24 hours a day by neonatologists and other experts trained in the care of critically ill or premature newborns. Our 38-bed state-of-the-art unit is ranked as a Level IV neonatal intensive care unit.

Women's Care Unit

Our 20-bed women’s care unit provides specialized care for both surgical patients and families following the birth of their baby. The beautifully decorated private rooms have amenities such as a ceiling fan and hair dryer. Wireless internet access and sleeping sofa/chairs are available.
