Bone Density Testing (DEXA Scan)A bone density test, or DEXA Scan, is a noninvasive, evaluation procedure that uses x-rays to measure bone mass or the weight of the skeleton. The amount of bone in the skeleton determines how strong it is. Bone densitometry is often used to measure bone mass in the spine, hips and arms, as these are the areas most likely to fracture when bone mass is low. Cardiolyte Stress TestingA cardiolyte stress test helps your doctor determine if areas of the heart are not receiving enough blood. The test is done in two parts, allowing the doctor to compare how much blood flows throughout the heart muscle during stress (exercise performed on the treadmill) and at rest. Contraceptive ManagementProvides information regarding the various forms of contraception and can assist in determining which method is best for you. Diabetes TreatmentDiabetes is a condition where the pancreas is unable to produce insulin or does not effectively use the insulin that is produced. Insulin is a hormone that removes glucose (blood sugar) from the blood and delivers it to the body's cells for fuel. Diabetes is a chronic disease for which there is no cure. Once someone has diabetes, the only treatment is ongoing management of the symptoms through meal planning, weight control, exercise, stress reduction and medication.
Employment PhysicalsEmployment physicals help employers determine proper placement of employees and reasonable accommodation of qualified applicants.
Gynecological Care and ExamsThe medical specialty dealing with health of the female reproductive system. Industrial Medicine (Occupational Medicine)The branch of medicine concerned with the maintenance of health and the prevention and treatment of diseases and accidental injuries in the workplace. Menopausal CareCare for women who have reached the time in their life in which the menstrual cycle ends. Pap TestA Pap test (also called Pap smear) involves microscopic examination of cells collected from the cervix, used to detect changes that may be cancer or may lead to cancer, and to show noncancerous conditions, such as infection or inflammation. Pelvic ExamDuring a pelvic examination, a physician examines the uterus, vagina, ovaries, fallopian tubes, bladder and rectum. Smoking CessationUsing individualized medical assessment, strategies and health tips, this program helps people identify and reach their goals to stop using tobacco. Stress TestingStress testing (usually with ECG; also called treadmill or exercise ECG) is a test that is given while a patient walks on a treadmill or pedals a stationary bike to monitor the heart during exercise. Breathing and blood pressure rates are also monitored. A stress test may be used to detect coronary artery disease, and/or to determine safe levels of exercise following a heart attack or heart surgery. Urgent Care ServicesUrgent care offices provide immediate diagnoses and treatment options for a wide range of sudden illnesses and injuries. Since no appointment is necessary, you can expect efficient care on a walk-in basis when you need it. Urgent care facilities offer extended hours seven days a week. Urinary Incontinence TreatmentLoss of bladder control is not a disease. Rather, it is a sign that a problem may exist. Regular leakage of urine can occur with certain movements, during pregnancy or times of stress. When leakage of urine becomes frequent or severe enough to become a social or hygienic problem, it is called urinary incontinence. Leakage of urine that cannot be controlled should prompt the patient to see a doctor. Proper diagnosis and treatment may correct the problem and ease the symptoms of urinary incontinence.
