This year we wanted to not only tell you about how you are making a difference, but really show you. So in addition to the report itself, we have a series of corresponding videos. Please be sure to watch the videos to get a first hand look at the lives that have been changed as a result of Presbyterian Healthcare Foundation and all of our donors.

Presbyterian Hemby Children's Hospital Theatre
Hemby Theatre is a magical place that allows patients and families to "escape" the hospital environment without actually leaving the hospital. Rebecca Brooks, child life specialist, and Jordan, a five-year-old Hemby patient, share the excitement and joy that Hemby Theatre brings to our pediatric patients.
The Ricardo Fund
The Ricardo Fund advances the careers of Presbyterian employees who are aspiring to be nurses. Learn more from Melissa Carpenter, an employee taking classes to become a nurse, thanks to the Ricardo Fund.
The Solomon House
A program serving low-income residents of the North Mecklenburg community, The Solomon House provides preventive health and crisis assistance services. After using The Solomon House services when she was pregnant with her daughter, Ana is so thankful that she is now a volunteer herself.
Heart Failure Program
While heart failure is a chronic disease that can reduce life expectancy if not managed correctly, the Foundation provides support for a Heart Failure Program. By providing education and advocacy for patients with this disease, it also helps lower re-admission rates and improves quality of life. Learn more about the program from David Jenkins, a heart failure patient who is doing great.
Stairway to Health at Presbyterian Hospital Matthews
Exercise is important for everyone, even employees. Presbyterian Hospital Matthews transformed a hospital stairway into the Stairway to Health, with inspiring murals and soft music encouraging employees to get up and moving. Jan Bartos, Presbyterian Hospital Matthews employee, shares how it's made a difference in her life.
