The Charlotte Bobcats

Presbyterian Healthcare is a founding partner of the NBA’s Charlotte Bobcats basketball team and has been their official healthcare provider since the team’s inception in 2004. The Bobcats organization in turn has been an outstanding supporter of Presbyterian Healthcare.

• Each year, the Bobcats host a special night for Presbyterian Blume Pediatric Oncology & Hematology Clinic patients, including dinner, a limo ride to the game and visits from Bobcats players and the team mascot, Rufus.
• The My Hero Gala, an annual fundraiser at the Bobcats Arena featuring a formal dinner and silent auction, raises money for the Community Care Cruiser, a 40-foot mobile clinic providing primary and preventative medical care to underserved youth ages 0-17.
• Bobcats players and Rufus participate in monthly hospital visits to Presbyterian Hemby Children's Hospital, brightening the day of pediatric patients and their families and bringing with them goodie bags, hugs and smiles.
