National Heart/Stroke and Diabetes Recognition
People with chronic illnesses like diabetes and heart disease know they will need medical care for life. Choosing the right physician can make a difference. That's why many of Presbyterian's physicians are working to attain national heart/stroke and diabetes recognition.
The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), along with the American Heart/Stroke Association and the American Diabetes Association, have established a Physician Recognition Program. The program is designed to improve the quality of care patients receive by recognizing physicians who deliver quality diabetes and heart/stroke care. That's important because quality care can decrease the chance of complications that might affect quality of life for patients.
Many of Presbyterian's physicians are working toward diabetes and heart/stroke recognition. When choosing a physician to manage your diabetic or heart/stroke care, it makes good sense to look to the physicians of Presbyterian.
