Pastoral Care
Pastoral Care Services includes our Chaplaincy and Parish Nursing and Health Ministry departments.
What is pastoral care?
Pastoral care is the ministry of care and counseling provided by pastors, chaplains and other religious leaders to members of their group. At Presbyterian, we provide support and guidance to our patients and their families, as well as to the larger faith community.
Presbyterian Pastoral Care Services:
Chaplains act as a resource to ensure that the spiritual needs of patients, their families and loved ones are addressed during their hospital visit, particularly during critical times of need.
The Parish Nursing and Health Ministry program joins health and faith communities. This ministry of health and wellness seeks to improve the health of people in the metropolitan Charlotte area.
Presbyterian Pastoral Care Services offers a variety of opportunities to serve at our hospitals.
