December 21,2007 -- Thanks to a fund set up at Presbyterian Hospital, Kiwanis donated $10,000 to help alleviate debts accrued by families experiencing the financial burdens of a cancer diagnosis.
December 7, 2007 -- Dr. Ophelia Garmon-Brown has traveled the world as a physician and a missionary, touching the lives of thousands from North Carolina to South Africa. Now, she's been honored by the Bank of America Charitable Foundation for her contributions close to home.

September 27, 2007 -- Presbyterian Hospital's Hospice and Palliative Care will be hosting "Now What Do I Do?," a practical class on managing daily life after the loss of a loved one, on Oct. 6, 2007 at Buddy Kemp Caring House from 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m. The class will teach participants how to manage a daily routine after the loss of a partner.
