Presbyterian Healthcare Expands Into Locust

Locust, N.C. - Presbyterian Healthcare is bringing care closer to the community and has expanded into Locust. Lakeside Primary Care will open on Monday, November 26 and is located at 236 Market Street, Suite 103 in Locust.
This two-physician office will serve patients of all ages, from newborns and children to adults and seniors. Some of the services they will provide include:
- Pediatric, adult and geriatric care
- Care for acute and ongoing illnesses
- Physical exams and immunizations
- Routine gynecological care
- Same-day sick appointments
- Dermatology procedures and biopsies
- Care for acute injuries
- Radiology services
The physicians at Lakeside Primary Care are Keith Griffin, M.D., and Ricardo Vargas, M.D. Both previously practiced in the Concord area and are excited to bring remarkable care to Locust.
Dr. Griffin is board-certified in internal medicine, a specialty focusing on prevention, diagnosis and treatment of conditions that affect adults. He received his medical degree from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine and completed his residency at Bowman Gray School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, N.C.
Dr. Vargas is board-certified in family medicine and can care for patients of all ages. He attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark, N.J. and completed his residency at Cabarrus Family Medicine in Concord, N.C. Dr. Vargas is bilingual in English and Spanish.
