Huntersville, N.C. - Presbyterian Hospital Huntersville received 36 National Excellence in Healthcare Awards, including 11 Top Performer Awards and 22 Five-Star awards from Professional Research Consultants. These awards recognize PHH as one of the top hospitals in the nation for quality care and customer service according to patient, physician and employee satisfaction scores.
"The main focus of Presbyterian Hospital Huntersville is to ensure that each patient has a remarkable experience at our facility," said Jeff Lindsay, Administrator for PHH. "Our physicians and staff do everything possible to make that happen."
The Presbyterian Emergency Department received four Top Performer Awards, including one for Overall Quality of Nursing Care. A Top Performer Award is an honor given to hospital departments that score at or above the 100th percentile, either by patient or employee perception.
"Since opening in 2004, we have worked extremely hard to provide the residents of this community with the highest quality of care close to home," said Melissa Robson, Senior Operations Director at PHH. "We are honored to receive such wonderful recognition."
Every year, PHH participates in the annual PRC comprehensive survey. PRC is an independent market research and consulting firm dedicated to improving the healthcare industry. This year, approximately 600 hospitals across the country (including every hospital in Mecklenburg County) participated in the 2006 National Excellence in Healthcare Awards.
