Huntersville, N.C. - Presbyterian Hospital Huntersville delivered 116 babies in August, setting a record for the most deliveries in a single month at the facility since its opening in November 2004. The previous record was 97, set in July. In August of last year, the hospital delivered 78 babies.
"August, September and October are traditionally the busiest times for labor and delivery," said Aggie King, Nurse Manager of Women's Services at Presbyterian Hospital Huntersville. "I would attribute this increase to the phenomenal growth in the Huntersville area, as well as the fact that we are a five-star facility and patients love coming here."
Women's Services at Presbyterian Hospital Huntersville received a five-star rating from Professional Research Consultants, based on patient perceptions of their experiences at the hospital. PRC is an independent market research and consulting firm dedicated to improving the healthcare industry.
"We want to make sure the patients leave here with great memories," King said. "Our staff is really excited and happy about the milestone, and considering the high volume of patients, we did everything we could to effectively meet expectations. Having a baby is such a special moment for the family, and we are grateful to be a part of that."
