CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Gifford Cordova, local entertainer and performer, will host a concert featuring his unique style of music, a combination of classical, Celtic and jazz on Sunday, May 27 from 7 - 9 p.m. at Spirit Square, 345 N. College St., in Charlotte. Funds raised at the event will benefit Bundles of Joy, a charity that raises money for Presbyterian Hemby Children's Hospital and Hemby Intensive Care Nursery.

Bundles of Joy was started by Joy Greenberg, now 13, in 2005. Her charity raises money to purchase equipment such as car beds (used to transport ICN patients home from the hospital) and resuscitation bears (used to teach parents how to resuscitate babies). Currently they are raising funds to build a resource library for parents at Presbyterian Hospital. In addition to the resources provided to parents, Bundles of Joy also has fundraisers to collect toys, beanie babies and books for pediatric patients. To date, they have delivered more than 4,000 items to patients at Presbyterian Hemby Children's Hospital.

"Bundles of Joy is a charity that is all about kids helping kids," Greenberg said. "I love helping people in any way that I can. When the nurses need anything for the hospital, they have a quick and easy way of getting it, and we hope to raise more money to help even more people in the future."
