Parenting Classes Offer Tips to Help Moms and Dads of all Ages

CHARLOTTE - Presbyterian Women's Center now offers several parenting classes to arm parents with knowledge, tips and tools to excel during parenthood. All classes are interactive and are taught by a certified parenting instructor. Advance registration for each class is required. Call 704-384-4WMN to register or to find out more details about these classes.
  • Preparing for Parenting These classes give parents the opportunity to ask questions and prepare for life's changes with a baby. The class includes bonding, parenting styles and scheduling techniques.
  • Parenting Your Newborn Interactive class includes development, play and sleep techniques and baby blues.
  • Parenting Your Infant This class for new parents provides hands-on experience needed to parent your growing/changing infant, including feeding, sleeping, creative play ideas, developmental milestones/infant development, baby-proofing and parent coping skills. Participants should enroll in this class when baby is two months or older.
  • Mom's Support Group Join this group of other mothers with infants up to seven months old to help ease the transition of adding a baby to your family. The groups meet at various locations throughout the Charlotte area.
