Tanya Stewart Blackmon, vice president and administrator of Presbyterian Orthopaedic Hospital, is the newest member of the McColl School of Business Board of Advisors at Queens University in Charlotte.

Tanya joined Presbyterian Healthcare in 1992 as director of inpatient discharge planning. She earned a bachelor of science in social work from North Carolina A&T State University, a master of science in business administration from Queens University of Charlotte and a master of social work from the University of South Carolina.

"We are so proud of all of Tanyas achievements," said Carl Armato, president and CEO of Presbyterian Healthcare. "This is just another example of how our leaders and employees reach out into the community beyond our hospital walls."

In 1997, Tanya was named North Carolina Social Work Administrator in Healthcare of the Year and was named one of the Top 40 under 40 by the Charlotte Business Journal in 1988.
