Presbyterian Hospital Matthews Nurse Named to Great 100 in Nursing

MATTHEWS, NC -- Presbyterian Hospital Matthews nurse Amy Vance was recently named to North Carolinas prestigious Great 100 in nursing due to her excellence in nursing and commitment to the profession.
Vance, with 19 years of nursing experience, serves as the senior director of operation at Presbyterian Hospital Matthews. Its no surprise that Amy has been awarded this honor. Her passion for the nursing profession is one reason she is a wonderful nursing role model, stated Mark Billings, administrator, Presbyterian Hospital Matthews. She is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center in Nursing Administration, Nursing Continuing Education and Staff Development, and also a Certified Operating Room Nurse (CNOR). Vance is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, American Organization of Nurse Executives, American College of Healthcare Executives, Association of Operating Room Nurses, North Carolina Organization of Nurse Leaders and several other organizations.
The annual ranking is sponsored by The Great 100, Inc., a grassroots peer recognition organization honoring the nursing profession in North Carolina by:
- Recognizing the importance of Registered Nurses in diverse practice settings
- Positively impacting the image of nursing and nursing as a profession
- Acknowledging 100 North Carolina Nurses annually who demonstrate excellence in practice and commitment to their profession
- Contributing funds for scholarships for Registered Nurse eduction
Amy will travel to Greensboro in October to officially be recognized at an awards banquet held to honor all 100 recipients.
