The new Presbyterian Hospital Huntersville is opening its doors to the community for a sneak preview on Saturday, November 6 from 1-4 p.m. The hospital will officially open on Monday, November 8.
The community will be able to take tours of the hospital and see Presbyterian Hospital Huntersvilles special services and technologies first-hand. On display will be the winning artwork from a poster contest sponsored by Presbyterian Hospital Huntersville to benefit local schools.
"We welcome the community to preview the remarkable hospital that they worked so hard for," said Denis Mihal, Presbyterian Hospital Huntersville administrator. "The citizens of the Huntersville community are the stars of Presbyterian Hospital Huntersville and we want them to celebrate with us."
Free DNA collection kits will be given to the parents of the first 150 kids present at the sneak preview. The kits allow parents to safely and painlessly collect their childrens DNA, which is a much more effective identification tool than a fingerprint or footprint. Additionally, the first 100 kids to attend the event will get a free photograph with Scooby Doo.
Entertainment will be provided by the Cornelius Elementary School Chorus from 1:30 - 2 p.m., Bradley Middle School Jazz Band and Bradley Middle School Band from 2:15 - 3 p.m., and Lake Norman Orchestra Jazz Band and Lake Norman Brass Band from 3:15 - 4 p.m.
