Presbyterian Hospital Huntersville is sponsoring "Helping Others in Your Community," a poster contest in local schools, to thank the residents of Huntersville, Cornelius and Davidson for their support of the new healthcare facility. Individual winners and their schools will receive a monetary reward.
Blythe Elementary, Long Creek Elementary, Mt. Island Elementary, Huntersville Elementary, Davidson Elementary, Cornelius Elementary, Alexander Middle, Bradley Middle and Davidson IB Middle Schools are participating in the contest.
"We are very appreciative of the support that the local community has given us throughout our construction activities," said Denise Mihal, Presbyterian Hospital Huntersville administrator. "This contest is just one way for us to say thank you."
Each school will chose a winning poster, which will be matted, framed and displayed at Presbyterian Hospital Huntersville's grand opening celebration on November 6. Those entries will be judged by a panel of Presbyterian employees, who will award prizes to first, second and third place winners and their schools. The first place school will receive a $1,500 cash donation; the second place school will receive $1,000; and the third place school will receive $500. Individual student winners will receive gift cards in denominations of $50, $30 and $20.
Entries must be submitted by October 20 for consideration. For more information, please call Angela Swett at 704-453-4380.
