Four community and regional leaders were recently named 2004 officers for the Presbyterian Healthcare Board of Trustees with John R. Belk of Belk Department Stores as chairman of the board.
Benjamin P. Jenkins, III, of Wachovia, Pamela S. Lewis of Queens University of Charlotte and Paul A. Stroupe, III, of Lance were named, respectively, vice chairman, treasurer and secretary of the Presbyterian Healthcare Board of Trustees. Each of the officers is elected annually and serves a one-year term.
Each of the new officers brings with them significant business skills and experience in community service, through many, diverse roles in the greater Charlotte area. Belk currently serves as president of Finance, Systems & Operations for Belk Stores Services. Jenkins, who joined the Presbyterian board in July 2003, is head of the general bank for Wachovia, and Lewis is president of Queens University of Charlotte. Stroupe serves as president and chief executive officer of Lance.
