CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Presbyterian Cardiovascular Institute is hosting a free seminar, "Blood Pressure Facts that May Save Your Life," on Thursday, March 27 from 6-7 p.m. in the Presbyterian Hospital auditorium, located at 200 Hawthorne Lane in Charlotte.
Experts from Southeast Renal Associates and the Medical University of South Carolina will share the latest news about preventing high blood pressure and related health risks, such as kidney disease and stroke, how treatment for young people with high blood pressure is changing and the related benefits of vitamin D. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions following the presentations.
In addition to hearing brand new information from the experts, members of the community will be able to take advantage of free blood pressure and body mass index screenings at the event. Follow-up information will be available for those who are determined to be at-risk, and all attendees will receive handouts with important tips for achieving and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
