Presbyterian Hospice and Palliative Care hosted a volunteer recruitment event, Tea for Two, Sunday, February 17, 2008 at La-tea-da's Café located on 1942 East 7th Street from 2-4 p.m. Those interested in volunteering for Presbyterian Hospice and Palliative Care learned about how they can touch the lives of hospice patients, families and staff by volunteering.

"Whether it's offering assistance in the office, making a weekly visit to a patient's home or helping with a community event, volunteers are absolutely essential to our team," says Kathy Brown, community relations and development coordinator for Presbyterian Hospice and Palliative Care.

Individuals who attended this event were encouraged to bring a friend, neighbor, relative or church member to share in tea and scones at La-tea-da's Café while learning about hospice and palliative care volunteer opportunities at Presbyterian.
