Presbyterian Osteoporosis Center
| The Presbyterian Osteoporosis Center is the area's leading source for individuals seeking up-to-date information and educational programs on osteoporosis. |
The Presbyterian Osteoporosis Center offers osteoporosis screenings and two types of educational programs: the individual osteoporosis consultation and the group education programs. For more information or to schedule a consultation, call 704-384-7510.
Individual Osteoporosis Consultation
It is important to determine your risk for developing osteoporosis and to take action to prevent it now. Our goal during the 90-minute one-on-one consultation with a nurse, physical therapist and dietitian is to provide you with a personalized osteoporosis evaluation and assessment based on your risk factors. This consultation is valuable for someone recently diagnosed with osteoporosis.
Group Education Program
This program offers a series of educational classes for those recently diagnosed or at high risk for developing osteoporosis. Our goal is to teach you how to live with osteoporosis and how to improve the quality of your life. Each class features a topic presented by a physician, physical therapist, nurse or dietician and exercise component. Each series offers four classes that last approximately two hours each.
Accessing Our Programs
Our educational programs are offered at a fee. However, some Medicaid and some insurance plans will cover the charges. To find out more information, call 704-384-7510.
