Established in 1990, The Nursing Mother's Place is the region's most comprehensive program for breastfeeding support and assistance. Our staff is comprised of International Board Certified Lactation Consultants that are available throughout your parenting journey. From prenatal breastfeeding classes to bedside consultations, our consultants support a mother's choice to breastfeed with a personal touch and evidence-based information.
Once you are discharged from the hospital, we have three outpatient locations to serve you and your family for personalized follow-up. Techniques for latch-on and positioning, how to tell if your baby is feeding well, and the proper use and selection of breastpumps are among the topics addressed in these appointments.
Any mother can use our services, regardless of her delivery hospital. Our goal is to provide confidence and options to nursing mothers in a relaxed, warm atmosphere. Our clients may be self-referred or referred by their doctor.
